The State Disaster Management Plan Section- III- Disaster Response
This is detailed Disaster Response plan. Disaster Response Plan structures the channelization of response down to the site of incident and from site of incident to command centre. The plan recognizes four key elements for a well-organized and well-orchestrated respo0nse.
The Bihar State Institute of Disaster Management (BSIDM) has been incorporated in the system to develop requisite understanding of hazards, gather information and knowledge identify and apply technologies and promote hazard specific research and development in the state.
The Disaster Response Plan
Disaster response requires involves three main functionaries the government machinery, the non-government organization and the affected communities. It consists of four main respondents:
I) Crisis Management Group
ii) Incident Management Team
iii) Emergency Support Groups
iv) Emergency Operation Centres
v) Block/Anchal Emergency Support Centre
